How to care for your hand painted silk:

Dry cleaning is the preferred method and is recommended.

If you want to wash your silk by hand, please be sure to follow these instructions:
-
Wash your silk separately in cold water
-
You can use shampoo and conditioner to wash natural silk (silk and hair are both natural protein fiber!)
-
Wash quickly in a large quantity of water - don't allow silk to soak for an extended period of time.
-
Roll the silk in a towel to remove excess water. Do not twist or wring the fabric.
-
Stretch or hang to its original shape, drape it so the fabric does not touch itself while wet.
-
Do not use a tumbler dryer or dry silk in direct sunlight.
-
Use an iron on the silk setting before it is completely dry.
-
Hanging your silk in a steam shower can easily remove minor wrinkles.
-
Alcohol can damage silk. Make sure your perfume or hairspray is completely dry before wearing your silk.

With proper care, your silks will be enjoyed for many years to come.
