Joy Handpainted Silk :: 26 colorways. Infinite versatility.
Joy Light, my given name as represented in the Japanese Kanji symbol, is the pathway to my artistic inspiration. For it is only through light that we can appreciate the soothing qualities of nature’s organic images and seasonal colors.
Silk has a luxurious translucence that perfectly radiates the rich saturated colors I enjoy working with. Every item is made to order, hand painted and signed as an original work of art. May this painted light be an inspiration to you.
hand-painted silk scarves
Each scarf is made to order and individually painted by hand in my art studio in Ashland, using the finest French silk dyes, known the world over for their rich colors. Each piece is signed and numbered. Limited edition color palettes are seasonally inspired by nature.
The scarves shown on our online catalogs are photographs of previously produced artwork that is similar to what you will receive with your order. High quality standards are assured through the entire process from painting to packing and shipping for your satisfaction. Commissions are welcomed.
Characteristics and care of silk: Silk is a natural fiber and subtle variations in the weave and texture of silk fabric are to be expected and are desirable and are in no way to be considered defective. Delicate or hand wash in cool water with mild soap, blot excess water from the silk with a towel, hang to dry, iron while damp with hot iron, or dry clean.
This classic design allows you to accessorize your personal style with ease and beauty. Lightweight sheer and flowing chiffon is edged and trimmed with a bit of satin to add just the right weight for perfect drape on all figures. Works with both elegant and casual outfits.
